Cameroon - Administrator (M / F) - Garoua Boulai

Since 2014, Cameroon has faced a serious crisis of refugees from the Central African Republic (CAR). In December 2015, more than 250,000 refugees from CAR are registered in Cameroon in the eastern, Adamaoua and Northern regions, more than 150,000 of whom have arrived since January 2014. Of these refugees, more than 170,000 are refugees. Arriving in the eastern region alone, scattered over 5 sites and within the host community.

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) decided to open a mission to Cameroon after an evaluation carried out in June 2014, and began activities funded by UNHCR in July 2014.

The mission is currently focused on Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (EHA) activities in the Gado refugee camp (Gado 1 and 2), as well as on the Garoua Boulai - Ndokayo axis in the host villages and As well as Food Security and Livelihoods (SAME) activities that play a prominent role in the organization's 2017 programming.

Organization of the mission

The coordination team composed of a head of mission, an administrative and financial coordinator, a logistics coordinator and a reporting officer is based in Yaounde, in the capital.

The base of Garoua Boulai is composed of a Field Coordinator / Logistician, a Basic Administrator), an EHA Program Manager and a Food Security Program Manager.

Job Description

Job Specific Context:

The main challenges of the position in 2017 will be:

Rigor in the processes and deadline of submission of the financial documents of the base (budgetary follow-up, forecast of cash, etc.).
Structuring and supervision of the administrative management of the staff: implementation of a training policy and a framework for internal development, organization of elections of staff representatives allowing the opening of a social dialogue. Your profile

Training and experience

Advanced training in finance, management, and / or logistics
Prior experience in administration, finance and HR in a humanitarian organization

Technical skills and knowledge:

Mastery of the pack office and very good mastery of excel in particular
Knowledge and mastery of SAGA and Homer
Ability to manage conflicts and carry out disciplinary procedures in case of need
Able to work under pressure and in a team
Ability to communicate with the coordination and raising of alerts if necessary

Languages: French

A good command of French is compulsory; A good command of English is desirable (English and French are the two official languages ??of Cameroon)


Adheres to the humanitarian principles and the code of conduct of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL

IF you will have the following conditions

Salary: from 1600 euros gross per month, according to experience, plus 10% premium paid vacation paid monthly and Per Diem monthly 525 euros.
SI also covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the country of origin of the expatriate and the place of mission.

Social security cover: The expatriate receives a high-quality social security cover to cover all healthcare costs and accident insurance including the risks of war.

Break: In the course of the mission, a work - rest period is ensured by breaks planned every three months. On the basis of a one-year mission, the expatriate will take a break of a week to 3 and 9 months of mission (with a participation of 500 euros paid by SI) as well as a break of 15 days to 6 Month of mission (with a return ticket between the mission and the place of residence).
