Overview of role
The incumbent will be the head of SUC administration and shall be responsible for the management and professional development of university staff and other administrative support.
Provision of leadership in planning, organising and managing all activities related to academic records and student registration. This includes (but not limited to) result slips, transcripts, attestations and certificates.
Creation and maintenance of systems to manage academic records including transcripts and certificates
Development and implementation of all academic policies
Development of innovative methods of managing the entire academic business of the school from admissions to graduation
Collaboration with other departments to facilitate and improve services to students, including catalogue and registration functions, etc.
Reception of complains from students and provision of rapid and sustainable solutions
Organisation of academic events (such as convocation ceremonies, matriculation, academic workshops) in collaboration with communication & marketing department.
Development and continuous improvement of academic programmes in the University in line with national and international norms
Coordination and supervision of lecturers and trainers including recruitment, evaluation and quality development
Preparation of budget for academic affairs in collaboration with other stakeholders
In charge of developing, implementing and improving the entire admissions process
Management of the school’s curriculum plan
Provision of leadership and management of the heads of department of each program, making sure that the academic policy is followed in order to maintain the quality of training
Organisation and management of all school examinations
Oversee SUC scholarship programmes
Perform any other tasks as deemed necessary by top management
Perform any other strategic role as deemed necessary by top management
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar position
Minimum of PhD
Skill and experience in academic management
Excellent computer skills
Ability to work as a leader and team member
Proficient in English and French (written and spoken)
Proven organisational and interpersonal skills
Good people skills
Ability to plan and manage change
